No one knows what is happening with the Pixel 4A because this phone is continuously in the reports from the beginning of this year 2020, but now Google Pixel 4A is ready to launch on August 3 that's because of the definitive informed and leaker, John Prosser he confirms that Pixel 4A will be officially launching on the given date. Although, this successor of pixel 3A was postponed multiple times even John Prosser was wrong when he announced that new pixel is supposed to launch on July 13 but nothing happened on that day. However, John Prosser has a good reputation for leaking the authentic stuff because he is the only correct person to reveal the date of iPhone SE and other products.
It is hard to digest the fact that Google is still not interested in the launch of this budget device(pixel 4A) as they already been delayed by a couple of months because it was launched in May and then in July. Even so, there is no official confirmation of the launch date from the company itself until then we have to wait and watch because again it is just a leak but with some hope.

The specifications off pixel 4A is already been leaked multiple Times in reports as well as in some videos anyways as this is a mid-range smartphone the CPU of this phone is Snapdragon 730 coupled with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and a 5.81-inch OLED display with the resolution of FHD+ everything powered by 3080 MaH battery with support of 18-watt fast charging and the camera is the main highlight of this phone because it follows the legacy of pixel lineup as it will have the same shooter of 12.2 MP present on the Pixel 3 and 4.
