Google Finally released the Android 11(R) DP1
Almost 5 months ago Android 10 stable version is released to the global markets of Android smartphones and on February 19, 2020, Google released the next version of Biggest Smartphone operating system name Android 11. It is the first developer preview that has some major as well as subtle change that increase the security and optimizations of the smart devices that runs on the Android OS.
This update is more about stability and privacy improvement rather than the facial beauty and looks because DP1 is looking exactly the same as the previous version of android which is kind of new for the Android update legacy.
Optimized Screen Support
This time the newer version of Android has support for the wider range of screen sizes and also the support for the various notch as well as screen cutout designs that helps a plethora of manufacturers and OEMs to make future cool looking smartphones.
Support for Curved Edges
Now developers look for the curved screens so they are working on the applications that are still no properly optimized for the curved screen at the corners.
Advanced Notification Responses
Well, there are also some changes in the notification shade although it looks completely the same, some feature is changed as google is starting listing their customers so they finally integrate the dedicated section for the reply of a particular chat conversation and user can easily reply the ongoing conversation with opening the X application. This is the fast way to chat with the fellas. Another interesting feature is you now copy/paste the images indirectly from the google chrome with the help of GBoard and paste it on the notification, which is quite handy and convenient.
Bubble Style Chatheads
Android 11 also integrate the feature call bubble chat in the default messenger app in the android system. It is basically a popped out a bubble on the home screen which is easy to reply to anyone while doing the multitasking without hesitating the app switching.
Faster Touch Response
Nowadays most of the lastest Android smartphones have a higher refresh rate display which is kinda cool but if the software gives hands to improve the touch response is more than amazing, so yes the touch response is also improved in the Android 11(R).
Officially support for Screen Recording
After a long time period finally, Android 11 natively have the screen recording feature in the notification panel in the form of a toggle.
Most of the custom and official skin on the top of Android have the scrolling screenshot option that very helps full for most of the user and I'm happy to announce that this is now available in the Android 11 DP1.
Dynamic Dark Mode
In the first developer preview, Android 11 has the new option in the setting menu, for now, the dark mode is dynamically managed by the users, that means you can schedule dark mode according to your need and time.
One Time Permissions
As I already wrote in the above section in this blog, the security permission is improved in Android 11 as it is more sensitive about the data of the users.
One time permission dialogue in android 11 |
The users now give only the one time access to a particular application with "only this time" permission. this means an app has access to data only until the user closes or move from the app. And again for the next usage user must grant the permission, in the same way, there is no option for "always allow" in the permission popup this option is inside the settings of an app.
And many more tones of improvement are done under the hood and we will see more of then in the upcoming Developer preview versions.
