Xiaomi brings VoWifi

Xiaomi smartphones now have VoWiFi feature

VoWifi is also known as the wifi calling and recently only two operators Jio and Airtel launched this feature to the smartphones. Most of the OEM enables this functionality to their phone for better connectivity.

Xiaomi officially enables the feature of VoWifi in its latest series of smartphones. Redmi phones that now support the VoWiFi feature are Redmi K20, K20 Pro, Redmi 7, 7A, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Note 8 Pro, and Redmi Y3.

Whereas, Redmi Note 8 Pro is only limited to Jio. In fact, Redmi has also acknowledged the fact that the regular Redmi Note 8 will get it sooner.

And this feature is automatically enabled by Xiaomi itself. You can also enable this manually with simple steps.
Settings < SIM Cards & mobile networks < Sim Card Settings < VoLTE Enabled/Make Calls using WLAN

Note: If you want to use this feature you should on Jio or AirTel network and also connected to the Wifi.






Both Airtel and Jio officially supported the wifi calling, but airtel listed the capable devices on their app and website and populated them, on the other hand, Jio still yet to update the Xiaomi supported devices on their website.
